It was Sunday morning, 3am when the phone rang.
It was my 19 year old daughter, back from the pub and in a world of pain, her right knee throbbing, she was in tears.
We drove over to her place and she was on the floor crying. The alcohol was wearing off, the swelling increasing by the minute.
Off to hospital….. 3 hours later she was discharged from emergency, turns out she had a Bakers cyst which had ruptured. Excruciating pain but no further damage.
She was though showing all the signs of a snapped tendon in her knee. And this is why I am telling you the story. She is also on her way to Europe, South America and North Africa in 5 weeks. A trip she would not have been making if she had ruptured her knee and this is why she needed insurance. And exactly why you need insurance.
Travel insurance is vital for all aspects of your trip overseas. Not just the 14 days away.
